SonicBlur is so correct of the saleens. Nothing more than a waste of money in my opinion.
Ls1 engines are bad ass. Pure and naturally aspirated powered pushrods against mustangs junk dual over head cams which need a supercharger to get moving.

All saleens like LS1's tail lights.

Yea, good point. Take a look at the Ford GT with it's sc'd mod motor and compare it to the NA C6 Z06 motor (that still gets 26 mpg).

Remember the Cobra R. That was a joke. Motor Trend stated, "$55,000 and trailing the Vette.
Even the cobras are powerless without a supercharger/turbo.

I heard today that 03/04 Cobras have a recall for something to do with the gas pedal ?

Well, a minor problem but I still say ls1 over any mustang. Ls1 is a proven engine.

You guys are funny, I am content once I hit the 400 hp mark, whether it be with a turbo, a supercharger, DOHC, SOHC, etc.. I have been a GM guy all my life but they just don't do anything for me these days.

Ever figure what would happen if you put a supercharger on a ls1? Phenomenal power.
Just with my upgrades, without a supercharger and including my recent ls6 heads with a 3 angle port job 440 hp.
Can't get that out of a mustang without spending a whole lot of cash.

Cool, so we all agree that the 94-98 Saleens were:

-the best car ever made, followed closely by my Buick Regal

-is leaps and bounds better than any GM LS1 vehicle

-holds it value better than any camaro or firebird since 1969
