Definitely interested to see how this holds up. My mirror did the exact same thing awhile back, and I was quoted $400 from a local body shop to fix it...

Thriller, so far it's been about two weeks and it's holding good. The road leading to my fiance's house is under construction and there are some really bad places in the road to where it almost sounds like my front end and rear end are going to fall out from under my car, but the rear view is still holding strong...!

Hey Night, Rodney Dickman makes a really good kit for the headlight motor actuators. He includes a T bar that goes on the back of the assembly which gives it more ridgidity and also spacer guides that keep it tracking right. Along with epoxy and even sends you a popscicle stick to mix the two part epoxy with....can't go wrong with that kit. Just make sure you clean it up really good and don't get any grease, which is supplied, on the edges where you are going to put the epoxy to glue the cover back on. There are stickies on site that line it out very nicely for you. I think I put some pics on when I did mine. I love this site.....

cool man i cant wait to get them and proceed to fix the factory flaw...although they did hold up to about 80k miles. but still, putting plastic gears in a place where metal is constantly moving is kind of an engineer flaw. whatever keeps me having fun tearing this car apart.
