Well, 30 series would allow you to steer your front wheels. Anything else would most likely rub in the front while turning and over bumps in the rear.

What do you guys think of these wheels? They are 18x9.5 in the front and 18x11 in the rear. Can 335s fit on an 11" wide wheel? Or would it be better to stick with 315s? If 335s will fit I was thinking of doing 275/35/18 on the front and 335/30/18 in the rear. The tires I have narrowed it down to for now are either BF Goodrich G-Force KDW 2s, Toyo Proxes R888, or Hoosier R6s.

This ^^ A single tire won't do everything well, but might do "okay", or better at one thing and so so on something else. Certainly won't find drag strip performance out of a 20" wheel, or even an 18 or 19 for that matter. You need alot of sidewall for a drag tire to be affective, but then it doesn't do other things as well...MT makes a drag radial now for 17" wheels that is 28" tall so you actually get some sidewall out of it. Preferably a 15" or 16" wheel works better for this though.
I can't do below 18" because of my 14" rotors and brembo calipers. If there was a way to do 17" wheels with my brakes I would. I will do more autox than drag so I will probably try to find a somewhat street friendly autox tire that is dot safe because I will have to drive to the track. My only reason for doing drag is to see what my quarter mile times are after certain mods and such. 90% my track time will on an autox track.
Nt05 nittos or dunlop direzzas can't remember which kind are popular autox tires and perform great

So I would want 4 18x11 wheels then? Hmm I am going to have to find a set I like that are all that size.

A couple weeks ago I ran an in an auto X with a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports and they did an outstanding job. I was pulling 1G on turns and ran some respectable times. They are by far the smoothest and quietest tires I've ever driven on, didn't buy them for that reason, but a bonus. I was expecting to have more tread wear than I did. I've previously ran the Good Year GS-D3 and the PSS's are much better in everything but the rain. Wheels are 18x9.5's with 285/35's all around. I had staggered with 275/35 front and 285/35 rear with the GS-D3 and the stagger just didn't feel right. I ran Sumitomo HTR Z II's in between just due to budget and they were worst tires ever, even worse than cooper cobra's.

Staggered setups are good for straight line and carving turns. Autox...no. The ass end won't give when you're trying to slide it around.

Maybe I didn't mean autox then the racing I want to do is at high speeds with turns and straight aways.

Yep. Road course. I want to try that with my car one day. Watching LeMans and SpeedGT and Australian V8 Supercars and F1 on TV really get my mind going.

^ Yup i like both Drag is awesome so is Road -Off road too!they all have their attributes -personally i like any kind of race period . Drag is quick precise and powerful and Road/oval track NASCAR type racing involves speed decision making while giving you a chance to make up and pass if you muck it up....and off road is plain wild and dirty....There are so many racing oriented options out there its not funny,,,Its FUN!!
