This is correct, you press down on handle to shift from park and any other gear further down. However, you do not need to press down to shift up from 1-2-3-D-N, you do have to press down to get from N-R-P, this being a nice safety function. So for those of you driving an A4 but miss the M6 or any other manual xsmn this is a bit of a teaser mod. It looks nice though
