Jon, you should try do it. Just be careful.
It's easy to mess up. But if you pay attention to what your doing. You'll be safe!
I have or had zero experience or knowledge on this.
This was the first time I used a polisher in my life. Lol
Thanks to the videos on YouTube I could leave a bit more.

What kind/brand polisher did you get/use?..I wanna get one cause my elbows cant hack the repeated motions

Looks like a great job. I detail one or two Corvettes per week and when I wet sanded my own black vette, I was scarred poo-less. To make this short, this is what I do. First, claybar, then Meguiars 105 rubbing compound, then Meguiars 205 polishing compound, then Meguiars synthetic sealer, (very important) then wax with BLACK wax! There's a couple of different brands that both work great. Hint- the more you polish, the better the shine. I use the Flex D/A unless there is a lot of correction needed, then I use the rotary. Oh ya, save your strength and wet-sand with 1500 instead of 2000. The D/A will take out the 1500 scratches just fine.

Thanks guys! I'm happy with the results. Is the 1st time I do this in life. So I think it wasn't that bad! Lol

I used a cheap polisher I bought in sears for $45 dollars shipped!
