Let the family doctor look at it yesterday....he said it's fine. It's called a mattress stitch and can be used on wide gashes like this one. Horizontal mattress stitch | Ask.com Encyclopedia
Also got the xray results back and nothing is broken. It's all good.....few more days and I'll be up and about on it a lot more. Walked around today for a while and once I get moving I can get around pretty good but it starts bothering me after a while.

Hopefully the bad luck ends here. Wife text me from work a few minutes ago and she had to go down to the labor and delivery area to get checked out. Said her heart rate and blood pressure went way up so she wanted to get the baby checked out just to make sure everything is fine. We've been very lucky overall the last 10 years as far as anyone getting hurt or anything like that so hopefully the law of averages isn't about to come back to bite us.

I hope that she and the baby are fine and that you heal up quickly. It's always a good thing when we walk away from a wreak with only a flesh wound

her and the baby are fine....they think she may have just been a little dehydrated. She went ahead and came home though and took the night off just to be safe. That wreck definitely could've been much worse. We weren't really going fast when it happened in the grand scheme....just fast enough to tip it over. An hour earlier if we would've wrecked out on the trail.....that would've been much worse. It's amazing though that it's taken us this long to land one of us in the ER....we've done some pretty ignorant shit and gotten away with it.
I'm usually the more level headed of the two but I wasn't driving so I had no say in this one. I said "we're gonna flip" mere seconds before we actually flipped. I knew it was coming.
The one thing I haven't mentioned are the scrapes I got on my ass.
Right before he went into the circle of death maneuver I was mooning the people behind us.
I sat back down and he went into the circle of death before I got my pants buttoned up. When the cart went over ass met the highway so to speak. That's actually the first thing that happened after the cart got lifted off my leg. I stood up and pulled my pants up while everyone else was laughing their ass off. When we got to the ER there was no way I was mentioning that part because the last thing I need is video proof of that shit happening. My buddy got a ton of video at the ER on his phone. Didn't need him capturing them cleaning up ass scrapes too.
All things considered it was a pretty fun night.

we weren't going fast.....just too fast for the tight circle he was trying to make. His is un-governed and I'd put the top speed in the 25-30mph range so it'll move along halfway decent. They're top heavy as hell really.....I would put us only doing ~10mph when it went over.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
See now boys and girls, THIS is what happens when you cheat on your household appliances with another machine...
And that type of stitch was used because of where the wound is located. Not much meat (none at all actually) on the shinbone.

I'm going back to the doctor this week. I finished my antibiotics today but I don't like the way it looks really. Too red and still too much shit draining to be over a week old. The red stripe goes toward my ankle and that's not an infection because that was part of the injury. The bar went down my leg there and that was black right after it happened. The part that doesn't look right to me is around the edges and up near the top of the shingina ( what I've been calling it
) which is at the bottom of the picture.
