Why electric? I've used a big gas stihl backpack blower on my cars.

Gas is the only way to go. Dragging extension cords all over several acres just isn't practical.

I use Prima Slick quick detailer with a quality Cobra microfiber clothe. It leaves the car well....slick no bs. They claim it has negatively charged something or another in it that repells dust particles.

As far as a California duster- most people don't read the directions which is why they get a residue on their vehicle. When you buy a California duster you are supposed to place it on top of some clean white paper for a couple days which removes the extra stuff they put on it to help pick up dust. The other thing that helps is using it. On a black or dark car you may have to hit it with some quick detailer and a microfiber till that residue they put on it wears off a bit.

I think Slick and a Cobra MF clothe is the way to go. Go ahead and order a couple bottles that way the shipping is worth it. You won't regret it.

I respect your knowledge and value your opinion but I just wanted to mention that the guy who cut my neighbors grass blew off my 87 Iroc (white) with a gas blower and it left small specs of oil all over my car. I was mad as a mfr because the car had a new paint job on it at the time. After a wash all was ok. I am guessing his blower was a raggedy pos which is why it happened but it did happen.

This. I've read numerous times gas powered leaf blowers leave oil residue.

I use an air compressor around the door handles, lights, and small crevices.

Ah I see, I had been sitting here trying to make the connection as to why someone would suggest an electric leaf blower over a gas. I've never used one to blow a car off so I had a hard time trying to figure that one out.

The wood handle California Duster is the origional and it works the best. The plastic handle unit is a copy.

Never had that problem before with a gas blower. Of course, I only wash my car maybe twice a year.

Yeah I used to live in Cinci. I never seemed to have to wash the cars at all there so long as they only came out on nice days. It's just not dusty there so I never had a problem. All the rain there seems to keep a lid on that I didn't wash the classics while I lived there for many years. The only times I came close to washing was using a wet spong and light water spray to wash off all the bugs from the front end of the cars after driving at night, But I kept that concentrated on the front only.
