Wow, I can't imagine having a woman spend time with me with something "I" want to do. You guys are lucky, no matter what I buy, probably wouldn't make me as happy as a girl that enjoys what I do.

I wish my daughter would help, but she is not like her Mom. Oh well, never had any issues with the men in my life and cars.

Except the arp rod bolts she didnt understand why 16 bolts cost $110... said if she knew it was just bolts she'da got some from the hardware store lol

Mine wants to reap the benefits without putting in the time or money....she bitches that i spent $1500 all together to do the engine swap, but every day that she is off of work, she wants me to leave her the car. I told her it needs a tune, and she bitched about that sayin "the car is running fine like it is!" ...i swear..in the beginning, she handed me the credit card to buy all the stuff to do the header install and buy rims and tires...now its like pulling tampons to get anything done...and i damn well better not be workin on the car when she is at home with me...world war III will be happening.

I already had the hot rods before we married 5 years ago. She knew she was marrying a gear-head. With a 75 Corvette, 79 Firebird and 99 TA that's a lot to support. She never bucks me about spending money on them ... but I'm frugal as well. What she DOES NOT support is P90x .....LOL.

She supports it cause she says its better than other things... whatever those other things are? Lol she won't spend time with me washing it or something cause I'm too picky about it and I kinda enjoy that time to myself sometimes with music blasting and cursing all I want lol

My wife claims she's a car chick and has a decent appreciation for classic cars but I can't remember the last time she was even in the garage with me... It's like pulling teeth to buy something for the car. Oh well. You guys are lucky.

I hope some day I'll find myself a nice car girl when the time is appropriate. You guys are lucky. My ex of 7 yrs loved to go on car cruises with me and that made me pretty happy.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

My wife is a little bit of gearhead too so,, yup!..
When we were dating she once blew her engine in a little z24 5-spd to win a street race.
She won by about half a car before the engine spun #3 rod bearing.
I carely limped it home for her and the next day we were hunting and engine.
Next time it was the synchros after speed shifting and mistiming her 3-4 shift.
...and the next day we were looking for a trany because we could'nt even forcefully hold it in gear..

For 9 of the last 10 years it was a fight with the wife... but this past Xmas I bought her a 94 Corvette Vert. Now I don't hear shit outta her when I buy stuff for mine or go to te garage to work on it. Sometimes it pays to listen to what she says she wants....
