Yea I got a small 10" upstairs, so maybe the monitor 50s would be ok. Not sure yet what I am getting.

Alright this is what I'm looking at.

Not really sure which would be better, just need something upstairs in the living room for music, occasional TV, not really gonna be watching any movies.

    BOSTON ACOUSTICS CS226 Classic 6½" 2-Way Tower Speaker Each Black | Accessories4less
Amazon.com: Bic America Dv64 6.5 Tower Speaker - Choose Color: Electronics
Newegg.com - Polk Audio Monitor60 Series II Floorstanding Loudspeaker (Black) Each
Newegg.com - Polk Audio Monitor50 Series II Floorstanding Loudspeaker (Black) Each

I've looked at Energy speakers as well, seem to get rave reviews.

This might work for the receiver, but 50wpc seems kind of low, could probably find a better one with more power http://www.accessories4less.com/make...eceiver/1.html

Very nice! A believe Polk Audio bought Eosone (my small speakers and sub-woofer) years ago. I've had them since the early 90's. The thing about a good speaker. If taken care of, they can last a long time.

Here's a photo of my setup before I got the new Yamaha receiver and Bose center channel that shows the WW2 newspaper clips better. My grandpa kept them, gave them to me and I decided to frame them. Three of the four are Stars and Stripes papers. I've got a few clips from WW1 also, but they're extremely fragile.

Anyone hear the speakers I've posted up. I guess I'll need to pull the trigger soon if I can't just decide.

Have you checked to see if there's a Magnolia Best Buy near you and if they might have some there?

I heard the monitor 50 series and while they were quite good, the pioneer's offer a level of clarity and resolution that you hear on much much more expensive speakers
