Car gets delivered on Tuesday!! Can't wait!
I have to say at first when I was looking at getting a replacement for my '68 Camaro I was thinking brand new Camaro SS all the way. But the new Camaro's have become so...well, common place now. Don't get me wrong, they are sweet cars, it's just that I sort of like driving something a little different. In the 8 months or so that I have been looking for a car I have seen maybe 5 WS6 TA's. Maybe 5. If that. But not a day goes by that I don't see a new Camaros. Even my next door neighbor has one! It will be nice to drive something you don't see everyday.

2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
Good choice! You would have had to get a ZL1 to be any different. Remember that when the new Camaro came out, sales were through the roof, and most of them SS models even. We have at least 5 in my little town, but I'm the only 4th Gen SS in the area.
She's old but she still gets looks.
Congrats on the buy, take care of her

Blue with Yellow stripes- 2001 Camaro Z28 SS
Very nice WS6- I bought the Camaro SS version
last May I located a one owner 2001 Camaro Z28 SS with 15K mileage. It was a showroom car too. Its all stock, mine is Blue with Yellow racing stripes. I paid $13,600 but had to buy new tires (it still had the original tires) and a new battery. Now mine has almost 20K on it.

If the tires are original, and probably are, a new set will ride like a dream compared to the dried out hardened
originals. Keep in mind you probably have have all original fluids in the car. I would recommend you change EVERY fluid including a brake flush. I had the same situation and found my car had ALL original fluids from 2002 including the battery. After servicing it I took a long ride and got it good and hot and then changed the oil/filter one more time. Oh yeah, silicone all the rubber weatherstripping and as many bushings underneath.
It might be a squeaker until you do this. Good luck and a great purchase. Looking goodMagnaflow Quad Tip, Lid, SBellow
