Stock wheel wells here, so 10in wheels do fit with 7.5 back spaceing.

What size rim are you trying to go with -- 15", 16", 17", 18" or larger? I am pretty sure that if you try for 15" you will need to grind the heck out of your calipers to make them fit. I believe that Bogart is the only aftermarket 15" wheel that will bolt up without modification.
My billet rears fit on perfect and I didnt grind any of the caliper. Also the new weld rts series doesnt require any grinding up front or the rear.

A 15x10 7.5BS with a 275/60/15 a 28x10.5 should fit okay. You may need to roll the fenders.

What gears are you running? A 28" tire is going to negatively affect your ratio.

Try to keep the diameter as close as you can to the rear tire -- you can find size charts from most tire manufacturers right on their websites. I think my track tires are within 1/2" front to back and I have had no problems.
