If someone hit my car because they didn't know how to drive you all would probably never see me on here again because I'd be going to prison...

If it was a complete accident, I'd be pissed and won't lie......I'd have to take some deep deep breathes and relax so I didn't do something stupid. Right now since I'm not heated, I can say that I'd probaby just chew their ass and wait for the check in the mail. I've also changed alot in the last year or so

Looks like the street is damp in places. The road is darker in some places. So maybe oil on top of the road or just moisture? Might not have been a bad driver just racing in stupid conditions.

I agree, looks like a small hump too that could take a load off of the rear suspension and allow the tires to burn

It was a good race though

If you're going to race on the street (illegal), then you should have some suspension mods so you don't go side-ways...
When my tires spin my ass end never comes loose like that.

Mine does

Except I don't street race anymore (SRS) and I don't have hardly any suspension mods but they will be coming
Sucks that two nice looking vettes are toast

How did the C5 even hit the C6
It would start losing speed sideways. If I seen the car next to me going sideways, I'd keep into it and get ahead of them. Looks like the C6 owner hit the brakes and put his car right into the way of that C5 missle

I've driven in water before with drag radials. Never happened to me. I guess if one tire spins over oil/water while the other one is on drive pavement and had traction it's possible. I've never had a loose rear end (joking aside) from a lose of traction since my suspension upgrades.
When my car was on stock suspension, the ass end shifted to one side quite easily during WOT shifts.
Getting out of the throttle under lost traction usually helps...unless you over-steer and don't drive right out of it like you should.

I have driven in the rain on skinnies and race slicks. I just think the driver thought the road was dry or clean. And as blackss mentioned you can see the C5 hit a hump or drop in the road. It looks like it drops down a second then comes back up. But there is no telling without being there. Sucks to be the owner of both vehicles.

I know exactly where that is at! I play disc golf there. Sucks about the cars, they are rich i am sure (like everyone around that area), so don't feel to bad for them, they will have another in a few days. In that area, corvettes are like the standard driving car, if it's not a SUV, then it's a corvette or porsche.

I'm surprised the C6 driver didn't slow down to avoid the C6 hitting him.

Warrants issued for Thanksgiving Corvette drag racers
Warrants issued for Thanksgiving Corvette drag racers
Police officers are looking to fry up the two turkeys who wiped out in a stunningly stupid Thanksgiving Day Corvette drag race. One turkey is apparently a mama's boy and the other is possibly a known scammer.
The now infamous accident occurred on Thanksgiving Day as the result of an inept drag race between a silver C5 and silver C6 Corvette on busy public streets. Because it happened in the small suburb of The Woodlands, news of the video got around fast.
As a former resident of the wooded 'burb visiting my family over the holiday, I heard about it from multiple friends, so I assumed that the police also probably got the message. Turns out they did, at least according to a person on the LS1GTO forum claiming to be the first patrolman on the scene.
We got a ton of information from this individual, all of which sounds credible enough (we've reached out to the Sheriff's office for confirmation). Here's the good stuff:
"They both tried to tell me they weren't racing. The C5 claimed to be pushing 600rwhp... He claimed he dumped the clutch and thats why he lost control. Lol.
[...]
Well, the driver on the left was 23 and called his parents immediately. As soon as we placed him in cuffs his mom started screaming to go to the hospital. So we sent him to the hospital and decided to cut the other guy loose due to the kid not going to jail. Warrants are being issued for both of their arrests now.
[...]
We recieved [sic] a 911 call (from a witness) saying that a major accident just accused and the other corvette was attempting to leave the scene. And the other vette wasn't drivable. Due to it being a major accident, we have to investigate.
So there's probable turkey number one, being bailed out by his mom. Despite being completely irresponsible and likely getting arrested, I just have this bad feeling (from experience) he may get his C5 back."
And what of the other guy? According to LS1TECH (and always take Internet justice with a grain of salt), the C6 driver is Brian Hebert, a parts scammer of ill repute.
Now the users over there are enjoying what they view as karma.
Allow me to repeat my conclusion from the last post: it's good to be home.
