Yeah it's possible you may have damaged the shock absorbers piston when you hit bottom. That will kill them pretty quick if not immediately..

That's the only thing I can think of... I've looked at everything I can think of. I know I bottomed the suspension out pretty good this winter going to Cincinnati to see my Ex Girlfriend a lot and I never had this problem until this winter. I'll probably buy a set of Koni's for the rear and have an extra. I put bump stops back on the car last month, so hopefully It won't happen a again.

    Koni's have a lifetime warranty.

yeah, but stupid me never registered them or anything... I assume that voids the warranty. I figured I'd call Strano and get some pointers

Maybe, maybe not. I'm not sure. I'd definitely call Sam though and talk to him about it.

yeah, I bought them from him so I figured he'd know best. haha I can't even remember if they were the 4/4's or the 4/3's. I think they're the 4/4's because the rears didn't have any presets. you just cranked on them to adjust them.

I guess this will be an opportune time to get sam's springs too. If I'm gonna pay someone to replace the shocks... might as well have them replace the springs too

Sounds good. He might not have springs in stock. When he gets them in, they go fast.

that's what I've heard... that's also what kept me from getting them when I got the Koni's. He tried to sell me some LT1 Eibachs... I wasn't eager to jump the gun on those.

I have Strano springs with his 4/4 shocks. I love how the car sits.

did your rears come with a white knob to crank on the shock in order to adjust them?

Oh and I've heard not to Go with BMR Springs... T/F?

    Yes they did.

BMR are basically copies of the Strano's from what I understand, but not quite as good.

I'm pretty sure I have the 4/4's then too. That makes me feel better... what's the difference between the two? Other than one is Red and the other comes in White? lol

I am just going off memory, but I'm guessing the actual spring load.

That's the most important part... well I'll try Strano's first... I think I'm going to look into these BMR springs a little more.

Just took a look. Looks like there is only a 10lb difference between the two and the both provide the same drop.

The main reason people stick with Strano is because he developed his springs 1st and then BMR basically copied his springs. People think that's a low blow.

Yeah, I second that. It does seem pretty low to me. Like I said, I'm going to try to get Sam's first, but I definitely don't want Eibachs. I've seem those Springs sag something fierce. Plus they drop your car some 1.8-2" right off the bat. I already feel like the car sits kinda low, but It needs around a 1.25" drop to close the gap some.

On your struts, did you lower the spring cup the available 3/4"?

I don't recall doing that, but it's been a few years now. From what I've read with people who get the BMR's, they are very happy with them.

sad face... alright, well I guess I'll try it first. I did it already and it has a nice rake to it... not huge, but noticeable when looking at the fender gaps

I have a thread of my stance. My car doesn't sit lower in the front by much. It sits a little higher in the back because I have a 9" rear end.
