    Wow nice buy

That would go for $350,000-400,000 here.

Hell yeah! Furnace, hot water heater, and so forth should be covered..

True in most places if the cost of living is cheaper the pay scales are less. My job started me at 13 an hour 5 years ago. The same job in kentucky for the same company starts at 9.50 because the cost of living is less.

Housing is very solid overall here in Texas as we have slow growth and even slower declines compared to other states do to various reasons. I almost bought a house in Rancho Murieta just outside of Sacramento back in 1996 but took a transfer out to DFW and bought a bigger house for half the cost here. You get a LOT of bang for your buck here.

Sounds awesome for sure and worth the money. Taxes down there are insane though. There's income tax in Texas right?

I was looking at this house to lol, small world I guess. The wife wants a pool so we never actually went and looked at it in person. Har.com is awesome isnt it. Can I ask how much you put down? Or how much you plan on putting down. I'm in the market myself so i'm curious.. Congrats on the house though.

we put $4500 down.... we also wanted a pool but most of the houses we looked at with pools needed more work than we were willing to do....what part of town are you looking in? i also noticed the next door neighbor has a lt1 formula....maybe hes a gearhead too....
