Thanks for all the kind words guys. I've enjoyed riding with him, but for the past two weeks he has been grounded. I hope he gets his act together so we can start back.

my friend I ride dirt/street with has a 9yr old son that rides a KTM 65? -2 stroke bike. He's fearless on it. I guess as long as the kid wants to learn how to ride, they love it. We were on the intermediate track at Blue Diamond and he was getting air the first time there! -since then he's moved on to the motoX track...yeah, I'm scared to still...

We have land to ride on....family land. The third week he was riding, he took too long deciding to go left or right of a tree and sure enough.....right into it. Fortunately, he was wearing a full face MX helmet, chest protector, etc., and came away with a slightly bloody lip and some large bruising on his legs. Scared the crap out of me when I turned looking for him and saw him up against the tree (a medium size Oak). Afterwards, I think it was a good learning experience for him. He learned the bike can hurt you very quickly when you think you're its master.

Glad your boy didnt get hurt. My dad and I used to ride motorcycle together a lot but I sold mine last spring. He said something about he wants a new bike next year and that he might just give me his 2006 VTX 1800.....all 1,100 miles he has on it. lol

Its good times with your boy, enjoy it.
