If you have an exhaust which goes all the way back, you may want to look at the clearance between the exhaust where it goes over the axle. On most aftermarket cat-back systems, there is minimum clearance with the exhaust and shield on the lower portion of the tank as well as the bottom support par for the pan hard bar.

If it is rubbing, you'll notice shiny metal.

i figured it out. it IS the latch.. It just confused me because it was so loud u could hear it in ever part of the car. I lubed it and it went away instantly

That happened to me once with my exhaust rattling. Not a proud moment

lol ive had that also, i hate sqeeking and rattling noises it makes your car seem like its falling apart and a pile of crap!

ya I had a license plate frame tjat was rattling drove me crazy til I figured it out !!!
