alright lets try to sum this up. around 3500 pounds, 450+hp, modern styling, factory gearing options, a cheap base price v8, and an automatic that doesnt take 10 years to shift. (throw that in there for the guys who cant drive a manual).

alright somebody forward this to GM.

isn't it the same trans? the trans in the camaro is good, it's the awful tuning that handicaps it horribly.

Kinda pointless if the majority of your RPMs are 200-250 HP, then a sudden spike to 323 at 6500 RPMs
No 660 dohc runs a curve like you discribed..

I know the Camaros at the New York Auto Show will be mobbed. My gut says so.

I almost willing to bet that if the Camaro had different tires and a little better launch he might have got him.

Agree, or even a set of tubes and pipes and walk away nicely..

Imagine the difference if the Camaro was lighter... Like, say a 3.6 in a 4th gen..

The new Camaro is coming into its own. I am liking the odds.

    Exactly!

Who cares if you have 323hp in a 4000lb overweight two door? Same power to weight as a 3500lb car with 282hp... Ditto for the LS3 that has to pull around a lot of weight.
