I had an ex gf get mad when I got two tattoos in places she didnt like. Notice how she is an ex. we were together for 3 1/2 years..

a close friend of mine, she dumped her ex bf, because all he did was bitch if she got a peircing or tat. 6 years together

point is, accept her for who she is, or she will be gone.
since you two have been together for 5 yr, understand that people evolve and re-invent themselves..

If you bitch and whine about enough, she will eventually start dating the tattoo artist.

Why did she choose music notes, was there meaning behind the tattoo?

I ask cause all of my tattoos are ones that I drew and all of them have meaning.
I have 3 of them related to music, one being a guitar that I built.
Point of me saying that is, if she got inked with a lame tattoo of a mouse burning in a toaster, then yeah you could be pissed, however if the tattoo means something too her, the tattoo acts like a bookmark of where and what is going on in your life at that time.
I can tell you everything about my life during each tattoo.

Dont give her bad memories or bad feelings associated with this one, it will be a bookmark she remembers forever...

damn you really hate tats, since you hate the ones you have.. do you hate the meaning or the fact you have tats in general.

becarefull with your girl though.. most people I know get a tat, and get a addicted and get a few more. if she gets more and they are done tasteful and well, just accept it.. but good luck!

i did'nt put much thought into them before i got them. it was more of a last min, spur of the moment. even tho they have meaning i regret them. i like more natural things. but thats me.. i bought my truck and camaro modded( visually ) and returned them back to factory, if that gives you an idea of my logical outlook on things.

If they are small and not easily seen they are nice. Dont forget its something SHE really wants to do and honestly a small one on the foot isnt bad at all.
I have a few myself--and my wife has two of them now too. Im not a fan of sleeves or anything huge on a woman but in the right places I like them

My wife didnt get one until she was 35--one on her lower back (sort of a tramp stamp but not really) and now one on her lower leg.

I totally whole heartedly unequivocally disagree with you. I have a tat in that location. Its of a certain bird. I got that there so when I'm 70 I won't have to see it. I've had it long before that stupid retarded movie. Its still beautiful and I am in no means a tramp. I have several tats all in locations that are viewable with a bikini on, but not with any of my clothes to work in a law office. So, some of us are classy about our tats. Thank you.

OP, if she did it to spite you, that's one thing. But if it's something she's truly wanted for a while, and has considered it carefully and truly desires it, then you have to let her do it. Neither of you can be expected to go through life doing ONLY what the other desires. Considering your desire isn't the same as always obeying it. Sometimes you gotta do what you want to do.
