Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
I went 2 weeks ago, had to walk b/c it's still too soft for carts.
Like TLS I have a fast club head speed, I averaged 114, but have brought it down alittle for better control. BEST ADVICE THERE IS!
If you want to try a simple fix to the slice, move your right foot back a inch or 2 in your stance. This means move your shoulders slightly as well. See how that pans out, it's hard to help someone without acutally watching them.
Remember: Booze calms nerves.

I used to work at a golf dome and had several golf pros give me some tips, and stance is 2nd to swing control when it comes to golf. If you can swing the exact same everytime, there's a way to stand to compensate.
As far as booze goes, this why I have a big golf bag! Before I found a good soft watersealing cooler, 2 to 3 plastic bags + ice+ beer = good times. Otherwise, taking a pull from a 5th b4 every tee off works as well.

Dude I had the same problem with the slice for two years. I got better, it the straightened out then it hooks left. Just can't win. I try to play 3-4 times a month when the weathers nice. The more you play the better you'll get.

Good idea, forgot about closing his stance.....lol I stand open most of the time because I have an inside out swing and it helps compensate for it. However, with a grip change or as you said you can move your feet around (open or close them) and you can make the ball move a little bit from left to right or right to left.
I have played in a few pro-ams (mostly club pros that I could beat but they had their cards) and there are some people out there that can shape shots amazingly.
I worked at a course for over 3 years and enjoyed it a lot.
I could play golf with you.....lol You sound like my partner. He always keeps Captain in his bag so we can get some coke and ice to cut it with....lol
A lot of it can be the shaft. I can cut or hook a lighter flex shaft by simply adjusting the ball in my stance.
Not many people can swing full and hit the ball of their back foot.
Coolest thing I ever watched was a guy hitting a golf ball with a club head on the end of a hose. It was so cool!
When I was 16 a few of my friends and I went to an LPGA event and if cost you something like $10 to hit a ball against a pro golfer. Woman mind you. However, if you beat her you got a gift certificate, a shirt, hat......etc We never lost a single time.

I don't get to play often to get really good, so I've never tried any competitions. I always try helping people I play with too, the better everyone is shooting, the better time everyone has.
I used to be able to draw and fade the ball in demand and keep my drives really low for the windy days. I stopped golfing for a few years and haven't tried it in along time, just trying to keep it perfectly straight up the fairway all day and throttle my swing down. That's been a task in it's self.
LMAO, went out today and I have captain in the bag with a 2liter of coke! Just had to pick up the ice from the bar/pro shop!
Went today! +80* and got sunburned. Played a scramble and shot 81, kinda sad given the course (konigandy knows it, Romeo golf course), but neither of us could get off the tee. Short game was good, hit the stick twice from 100yds+ away.Last edited by KMdef9; 04-10-2011 at 04:52 PM.

I love golf! I'm not very good at all - usually 92-100, but I have a really fun time with my friends. That's what's the most important to me!
I'd like to improve, but I think I'd have to golf a lot more, and probably get a few lessons to improve much more.

Golf is like sex, you dont need to be good at it to enjoy it and yes you can do it drunk.

I am a 3-4hcp which means at my home course I shoot around par. Granted when I go somewhere I else that I have never played breaking 80 can be difficult if its a tough course with a high slope and rating. Most of the courses around my area I am a 5-6hcp meaning that I shoot mid 70s.
If I could play more I would be better but I just dont make myself go play enough. Perhaps this year though!
My dad wanted to play leagues with me this year but I have evening classes 4 nights a week! WTF?

Do you take the F-body to the course or are you still in need of a new rear end?
I looked at a local place here for one and its a 1998 3.23 and they $400 for the stupid thing! WTF!
Golf is fun, I nned new wedges though. Not sure where to go this time. I had my snake eyes for over 10 years but someone stole my 56. Right out of my bag! I was on the patio and had it off to the side and whammo it was gone. I know I didnt lose it because I used it on the last hole and chipped to about 6" and the putt was given to me. I hate people who steal!

Shoot me a link to it. I get around to a lot of different courses.
Tough course means leave your driver in the bag.
I took my 2 iron out in place of a hybrid and I think I am going to swap it back out. I fly a 5-iron about 205 so if I am playing like a turd I pull out my 4 or 3 iron and just play down the middle hoping for par and pretty much getting an easy bogey.

I had some friends that would pick on me for it and now they LOVE IT!
I had to explain to them that golf is the only game where you can....
1. Race a cart
2. Drink alcohol while you play
3. Swear
4. Laugh at your friends
5. Piss pretty much anywhere
6. Hit a persons house with a ball and not get in trouble
7. At least "look" like you know what you are doing
8. Leave the girl/wife to home
9. Beat the hell out of a little ball again and again
What is not to like?
Oh and I forgot, the 19th hole! haaha

Went and played Sunday, First hole every shot perfect Par the hole. Should have gone home after that. I spent the rest of the front nine trying to get the ball to go straight and the back nine gettin drunk. I felt much better about the round after a sixer.
