I see. I know there are a few. Well you could always venture up this way on a nice day next spring or summer. Looks like the weather for this year is just about gone. There are plenty of f-body's in the NW Indiana and Chicagoland area

I'd say I'm about 2.5 hrs from Indy.

Just basic stuff; rear wheel bearings & seals, outer tie rod ends, headlight motor gear, a/c belt. He's also gunna look at my ABS since it's acting up & check out my non-functioning front signal lights. There's a couple other things I don't remember off the top of my head..The list is pretty long, lol!

That sounds fun. It has gotten cold quite quickly. I don't know what's worse, hot leather seats or cold leather seats....Not really into driving *into* Chicago though...that shit is crazy!!!! I made a vow if I ever have to drive into Chicago itself I'll take the train...lol!

My car RARELY sees the e-way let alone "Chicago" driving

Hell...most on here will tell you my car rarely sees outside the garage

nothing new to these cars other then the ABS thing BUT i had my ABS unit go out in my lightning so yea lol

how many miles on the car?

mmmm I know it's 97 somethin somethin. It's getting up there. Doesn't help that it's my only car & I don't think it was *ever* properly taken care of.

Funny how a car that cost so much was made with such a crappy interior..Makes me mad that these guys can be so damn cheap & get away with it!!! I definitely have plans to do mods, and I'm just starting to get into that whole area, so my knowledge is very limited. I've been given some ideas on logical things to do, like improving suspension & handling, upgrading my exhaust & air flow...beyond that is a world I definitely know nothing about!!

You know I will!!! Once it gets all fixed up I'm planning on starting on my interior projects & then I'll start on performance. Once upon a time I wanted to restore it to make it a show quality car & enter it into the nationals but I don't know how feasible that would be. So now I'll just be happy if I can make an above stock impression.

as long as you gots the money to back it up then by all means make a show car

i for one is not into all that show car thing....to much to deal with

i think bringing it back to org. and then modin from there you will be more happier and wont cost a shit load PLUS you can take it to shows and the track

Yea, I definitely don't have the money! (wish I did!) I would honestly rather take what it would cost and just buy a 60-70 t/a. (which I will eventually!) I think you're right about bringing it back to org. and modding..I can't wait to go to my first t/a show. I haven't been to a real nice car show in years (the last was for vettes god knows how long ago). Never thought about taking it to the track....

yep sounds like you know what you want

BTW dont waste the money getting your hood painted if your going to swap it of a ram air hood.....samething with anything else, if you know your going to upgrade it then dont replace with new stock just to have it fixed....some people do that and i have no idea why

I actually have no intention of swapping my hood. I thought about when I first started looking at them & I realllly like them, BUT I decided I want to have the bird put on the hood instead, which doesn't look right with a ram air hood. You don't see too many 3rd or 4th gens with it (although I have seen one..)
