ok heres the simple and smart solution, spend the extra money and get a lawyer, dont go to court, dont do comm service, dont go to driving school, every citation ive ever gotten has been reduced to a non moving violation because of my lawyer, so my insurance is nice and cheap and my driving record is clean for any employers that worry about that sort of thing

yea in nc you can take a safety driving course every 3 years to get tickets dropped, however once you pay ticket cost, court fees, and pay for the class it costs about the same as just getting a lawyer, and then you dont have to sit in court or waste a day on a boring ass driving class

just went to court today, Judge gave me 180 day probation period,
my 155$ ticket was reduced to 100$ and will be worked out my community service for 16 hours
I have to strive to make A honor roll this year at school or they will revoke my service
the judge was an older man, wouldent take crap, but if you were respectful he treated you back with the same respect,
Reason being said. my friend who got pulled over behind me, same infraction lasted 45 seconds after being kicked out for being disrespectful to him

Good good, glad to hear it. And I think that's funny about your friend. Glad to see at least one younger person (you) who knows how to act in this situation. All your buddy needed was 5 minutes of respectful behavior and he couldn't manage it. I won't divert this into a social commentary about young people, but I'm thinking it

But good job for you. See, we told ya there wasn't much to worry about. Just don't rack up multiple tickets in a short period of time and you'll be fine. I've had four or five speeding tickets over a 20 year driving span, with no ill effects other than paying them. Remember, cruise control is your friend...

yeah haha, i cant believe he wasnt being respectful to the judge after his mother was sitting right next to him before they walked in to be nice, because she wont pay for his ticket, but it happens i guess
funny story time
My mother shit bricks
I told my mom about this party that happened a week or so ago and i told her the people there got busted and all charged... I wasnt there
when the judge was looking through my papers, he said WAIT- You have a alchohol charge on you, my mom looked at me with a glare and asked... WHAT! then he said wait wait wait wait... Wrong person, sorry, your record is clean
I swear my mom wanted to start screaming at me for it lmao, it was halarious

Yeah, my mom would have ripped my head off before the judge could have made the correction.
Congrats on surviving your court appearance- may you never have to go again, and if you do, good luck!

Ha! We are all familiar with that glare, I am sure. Glad she learned that hers wasn't warranted... that time...
But it had to make her feel good to hear that all your friends were busted and facing charges but you aren't.
And yeah, sadly, that goes to my point about (most) young folks today. Has his mom sitting there, facing a judge, and still acts cocky/entitled.
