Just another thought, but at what point does low tire pressure become dangerous? You always hear about how important it is to run enough pressure so that you don't loose a tire while cruising on the highway, and even the F-body manual recommends increasing tire pressure for high speed operation.
But is it mainly a concern when high speeds are maintained for some time? Do you get away with it while drag racing because you only have real speed in those low pressure tires for under 10 seconds per pass?

Manual refers to a street tire.
Much difference than a DR or slick.

I set the car up at home and drive to the track. I put normal 30/33 psi street tire pressure in the tire for the drive there. At the track I drop the psi and race. The tires will grow will running down the track. Before I head home I put street pressure back in the tires. I have driven with low air in them before on the street and highway. It is the last thing you want to do.

Managed to forget to air up the Hoosiers (13-14 PSI) for the ride home once.

    Yeah.....
