You'll hurt your credit if you stop using the card. Using a card one time per month is better then not at all.

hey I had 3 Cards with 30 thousand limits on each so I would max them out and pay off and redo. I got hurt at work and missed 3 house payments. Long story short I told the card companies to suck it sideways I did a home mod keep in mind my monthly was over $4,000 5 months ago a friend of mine who use to work at a bank wanted to help he cut my monthly payment in half did my bankruptcy and I already have 3 new cards in the last to weeks I say fuck em start over
