Any time someone bashes another person's religion, political party, race, gender, etc. it WILL raise some conflict. I am a Christian and if you said that to me I'd try to get you fired. IF you did say those things, you overstepped your bounds. Period. Just as if I were to say that Atheists are stupid and I hate them. I would EXPECT to be fired for that. If you didn't say those things, its time to confront the person that got you fired and have a meeting with the person that fired you.

Lesson learned: Keep quiet about sensitive subjects/topics at work. Nuff said.
