They started making so many cards in the late 80's on up that they will never be worth anything.

Yes, and it got so stupid, they got into high end cards, where one pack would cost $20 and up, I remember some got up to $50/pack, fn ignorant.

Probably close to 100 total rookie cards..........if memory serves me correctly I have 33 of the Donruss Griffey rookie cards alone. I think I have 4 of the Upper Deck Griffey rookie cards.

I'll be travelling to my Mom's house for a visit in a few weeks, I'll have to take a picture similar to yours.

I'm unsure of how many total Griffey cards I have, but I'd guess 150-ish?

Having 33 of the Donruss rookies doesn't really surprise me, it was the easiest to get. If you have 4 Upper Decks though, thats pretty impressive

Very true, the Donruss were easy........

I have a good story about going in to a card shop 'back home'.......I 'thought' I had a 'system' to finding the Upper Deck Griffey rookie card, and as we all know, everyone and their dog wanted his rookie card, but the Upper Deck card packs were so expensive($5/pack??)..............so I walk into this store and tell the guy to go to the back right corner and go down 5 packs, and give me that pack. I opened the pack right in the store, and sure as hell, there was a Griffey rookie card in there The guy's eyes got big, and he looked at me really weird and then offered to buy the card from me. I said, "nope, I don't think so......and thanks", with a big smile. FTW!

About a year later, I had 5 Griffey UD rookie cards, and I traded it for a Mark Grace rookie card and some other cards........... FTL!!!!

    Anyway.
