lol i love the mix of responses. SHe's supposed to have her period next wednesday, if not, ill go into panic mode. I told her i'd give her the old falcon punch at the top of a flight of stairs if she is. she laughed...she thought i was kidding..... Its in the last week and a half of the pills. I keep telling her over and over to never ever ever put my well being before her taking her pills. I told her even if i were dying, to make sure she took her pill before taking me to the hospital. So if she doesnt have it next week ill have her take the test.

Too soon for a pregnancy test, usually the earliest an OTC pregnancy test can detect the hcg in the urine is 4 wks. Just have her continue taking the OCP, and can take a pregnancy test if her period is not normal.
Also for next time, if she misses a pill or takes the placebo instead, have her take 2 the following day and then go back to the normal 1/day.

yea, thats what one of my friends said, she should have doubled up that day but that she should be fine. I'm just hoping i dodge the bullet this time and learn from it. If she doesnt have her period next week, when's the first chance she can take a test, and even more important, what then? We've both agreed it's way too early for kids.

I don't know if it is the same with the pill as the depo shot ,but the wife spots on occasion. I also think (not sure though) that being on birth control can give a false positive reading on HPT. If she isn't pregnant look into the depo shot once every 3 months and you are golden. I also wear a condom most of the time for extra protection, but there are times I don't depending on what she wants and feel comfortable with at the time.
She tried getting me to go get snipped and I told her she had a better chance of getting laid by Sean Connery than me getting snipped, unless of course I cand get
anytime I want. needless to say all the plumbing is still intact.

OCP or depo wont cause a positive pregnancy test. Whether its urine or blood, its measuring the hcg level, which is produced when pregnant. (couple other situations, like a mole or tumor...but thats not the case here)
As far as when she can take it, if her period isn't suppose to be til next wk and Im not sure when this occured, but if its been around 2 wks from intercourse to missed period, she should be able to take it when she misses her period. If its neg, Id recommend waiting a wk and doing another test.

Why any man would leave something so important up to a female is beyond my comprehension.

tell her get on the nuva ring, my girlfriend was awful at remebering to take the pills on time. Now all she does is stick a o-ring in her vag then leave it in there for 3 weeks.

After 2 kids, I've told the wife I am willing to walk in to a Dr's office tomorrow to get my balls lasered.
She still wants to wait, and tells me I've had the opportunity to do it but since i didn't that must mean i want more kids. Uhhh,
She's on the fence about it, of course. Thankfully, she had 2 very difficult pregnancies and only gets baby-fever occasionally.
I can say with certainty if I made an appointment for the procedural consult she would blow her lid.

Most reliable form other than no sex is that thing they stick way up in there for 5 years, except you already have to have a child before they will do that.

My wife went on the depo shot (every 3 months) after our first....it messed with her pretty good: mood swings, weight gain, but no babies. It took a year after being off and charting temps, baby batter-safe lube, et al to get preggers again.
She's now on an IUD (not to be confused with the things that blow up humvees) which is good for 5 years, and is what Zinergy is referring to.

Whew God! That's the divorce shot. Hell my sister was on it for like six months and we were ALL glad she got off it. Her husband was ready to run! She'd bite anyone's head off about any little frickin' thing. I won't let the wife go that route, I have to live here too!

"hearing" men talk about this is halarious to me. Especially the one about anti-biotics that was good, true but funny that was brought up
you'd have to be retarded to take the wrong pill FYI, even more that it's taken in the dark so you can't see the correct pill.
one missed wont kill ya, if you arent "hitting the mark (inside)" if you get my drift...
