found this pic....looks like its painted plastic....its just so weird that the scoop is so oxidized....whereas the rest of the paint is perfect.

yeah, not sure why but those mustangs are notorious for that on the scoop and the rear wing.

Yep, i have one, it's definitely painted plastic. And yes, mine is noticeably more faded and oxidized than the hood paint, or even the paint on the other plastic parts of the car. Something about the material I suppose. Perhaps it flexes more in temperature changes and flexes/cracks the paint...?

reading this...dustin my scoop is definately plastic AND definately painted... careful--if ya wanna impress just go get ya a bottle of some paint polish and get to it! excellent excuse for that DA buffer purchase--gotta make the chicas happy, right? lol

Wait till she asks about doing her lights. Tell her you're busy. Make her chase you !!! And can anyone tell me what the best way to do my lights?? What pieces are you using? Like pad type or sandpaper grit etc? Are youguys using little buffer machines or a drill etc?

at walmart you can buy just the bottle of plastx...or a kit that includes a drill attachment and a shammy....i bought the kit and did it that way.
