2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Do you need to have cats for inspection? If not then delete them altogether.
The highest flowing cat is a deleted cat.

What are you referring to?
The only thing I smell on the 02 is unburnt fumes when idling in line (say at Sonic or the like) and that's only because I have the duals dumped at the axle. When I had a Y-pipe then single going to the rear I didn't smell even that unless I stood at the rear of the car and then only after a while.

well generally speaking an OR system is going to smell worse than a catted system. I have friends running OR/punched out cats on their terminators and 240's and I can't stand the smell, gives me a headache after awhile. kinda smells like sticking your nose in the exhaust of an edger/lawnmower.

Just bought a set on eBay for $37 each. Had to ship them to AZ. (since they won't ship to Cali) then they're getting shipped here.
Should be on next week. Stainless steel, 3", high flow and cheap. I'm excited.

I have the magnaflow 3" and I tested my cars for giggles since I have easy access to a roller. Either my tuner was sloppy, or the cats are junk because I failed the pipe w/ just bolt-ons.

Not compared to $574.00 each for the OEM cats.. yes they are quieter, I have been robbed of a few HP.. but; on the good side I don't have to sell it!!!
My wife has a brain tumor and it needed to be quieter so she can ride in it, without causing her tinittus to go nuts.. All in all I think I made out really well!!! Why go cheap when you can do it right.. its not all about HP and noise! well not with me anyways, my priorities have changedLast edited by Y2kz28PA; 05-08-2010 at 02:16 PM.

Yeah.. this seemed the easiest route.. it had the stock cats, they kept throwing lights.. so I had them holllowed.. then they were way to loud.. So I went with high-flow's.. it is much better now

I just installed my $37 ebay "raceparts" cats. I FRIGGIN' LOVE THEM!! My car went from raspy at 1900 - 2400 rpm to low, deep and smooth. I can talk in my car and I dont smell burning shit. They look great too. Stainless steel and 3".
2 thumbs up!
