    I mean, from side to upright, it's just going a single direction, it shouldn't be too hard to guess on the ground where the wheels will land, and just put them there.

    I just use off-cut 4x4 pieces of wood for the thirdgen, I would think the next size up from that (6x6? if they make them?) would work well enough for an 18 wheeler.
