Ok I think it just comes down to this. If you're worried about getting beat by a mustang then MOD YOUR DAMN LS1. These cars have been out since '98 so if you are looking to race then you've had more than enough time to mod the hell out of it if you're worried about loosing to anything really.

Sorry, I was a bit off on weight, but those are just estimations. it was officially announced that the block itself weights only 10lbs more than the 4.6 that's leaving. The car will have a weight increase, but not so much to make an ls1 even with it. Face it guys, ford finally manufactured a mustang(non-cobra) that will kill the ls1(stock for stock), albeit the ls1 is approximately 12 years older than it.

Depends on what you do, in this economy there are soo many people out of work becasue soo many people can do the same job, waiting line upon waiting line. You go to school get a job that requires you to do so and your job security is much much greater. I didnt go to college but i have friends who did and make me wish i did. 23 year olds making 80-100k a year.

the new stang should take even a good ls1--- and if it does it'll probably take the new camaro too. but rwhp numbers remain to be seen yet, and at approx 3700 pounds who knows how it'll run? probably have a mag time of 13 flat is my guess

14 years of difference compared to 1-5 years of difference? 2002 trans am is almost the exact same car as a 1998.

Yeah, the GT500 reviews made me cringe, esp the one video i saw that showed it wheel hopping like a mother. And I wouldnt assume the GT would be any better.

I was just saying older technology vs newer technology. 95 viper is still a 450 hp beast, but its not quite as refined as the ZR1

Although, this will change with the 2011 mustang... were gonna be on the chasing end when those come out

I wanted a terminator when looking for my ls1 but they were out of my price range...
