eat less. It really works, for me atleast. Don't starve yourself or you'll be hungry with bad results

-eat correct portions of food.
-eat greens (naturally increases metabolism)
-cut back on bread like products (slows down metabolism)
-cut back on sugar (pop/soft drinks/engergy drinks)
-eat more protein (protein naturally surpresses hunger)
-excersize.... cardio (HIT or HIIT)
-if possible, use a clean whey protein powder mix (25-45mg) with water or milk and drink a shake of it as a meal replacement or to aid in eating less during a meal.
use only clean whey protiens: (no artificial sweetners, food coloring, low to no-cholesterol) examples:
-INTEGRATED SUPPLEMENTS (cleanest protein around)
-snytrax natural nectors (clean and has fruit flavors)
-healthy-n- fit (highest protien per scoop 45mg, and clean)
A clean protein will aid in lean muscle development, surpress hunger, promote muscle recovery. (lactic acid causes the burn that you dont want during excercise)
Stay away from dirty protiens, you will be doing yourself more harm then good..
dirty protiens are brands such as:
-muscle milk
-bsn
-met-rx
the list goes on...
Brands like those are considered dirty proteins, they contain:
-high cholesteral
-aspertane or other artificial sweetners
-food coloring
-etc....Last edited by ibanez7; 01-04-2010 at 12:19 PM.

also if you going to walk, jog and or run.
invest in a good pair of shoes..
check out new balance, and go to an actual running shoe store.
poor shoes=poor running=shin splints, and leg pain

good for the price... however you are right it is considered a dirty protein... it is aspertame free, which is good but the cholesteral/fat is up there..

If you want to stay cheaper on Protein but get something clean, check out the Healthy n Fit whey protein. Less then 5mg of cholesteral but 45mg of protein. Price ranges from $18-$25 pending where you buy.
Integrated Supplements protiens is about $35, but no cholesteral

the GNC protein is also a dirty one:
around 50mg of cholesterol
around 4grams of fat
again Healthy n fit would be cleaner but a few dollars more.
I used to shop GNC but switched to Fit Rx. Tried Vitamin shoppe, but have found my local Fit RX to be better then the local GNC or vitamin shoppe. The employees are more knowledgable.

exactly. New Balance is one of the only shoe companies that design their shoes with different feet/stepping type in mind. (meaning do you walk on the inside or outside edge of your foot or completely flat)
since I am 6'3" 255lbs, the pair I bought actually has what is called ROLL CAGE. its a graphite reinforcment that goes under the foot up to each ackle, prevents you from rolling your foot when you run. i tend to run on the outside edge of my foot. This prevents that and saves my shins/legs.

I've always hads expensive nike's or adidas for running, but that doesn't help when you have wide ass 100% flat feet. My family members always have the best luck with new balance with feet like mine, so i'll have to try some. I guess you could say I walk on the inside of my feet, but in reality I just have no arch so they lay flat that way.

slim fast is not that bad, its still considered a Dirty drink but not as dirty as some. (around 10mg of cholesterol)
if your exercising, your best bet is take a good multi-vitamin, and a clean protein.
However with whey proteins, if you take to much, any un-absorbed protein does turn to fat. Which is why its best to take within 30 mins of just working out or as a meal suppressor.
