I bought the car for looks. Yeah its fast and all but why drive them hard and race them? Your going to get in serious trouble on the streets or fuck something up on your car. I enjoy cruising and just watch everybody stare while yall are paying to fix yalls.

Just my two cents
Well in my personal opinion and while I agree with everyone else's opinion on here that the more you drive it the more you get use to it and comfortable with it power level... if it is feeling slower, perhaps you have picked up some restriction somewhere?? Dirty Air Filter?? Fuel Filter Dirty?? Catalytic Converters starting to fuze together inside and not allow suffient flow... Just additional things to consider... Do tend to the rear end and take it real easy on the stock 10 bolt it wont forgive much!!

I'm all about saving money also, but I am also about having fun.
Don't get me wrong, I love just driving around town cruising too (mostly what I do). Having people stare and give you compliments is a great feeling.
I'm not talking about beating the living shit out of my car every chance I get buddy. I am talking about racing it here and there, and just enjoying it. I've only been to the track about a dozen times in the 8 years I've owned the car.
I have 16K miles on mine and I do "baby" it compared to most.

Dont get me wrong i love fast cars. Im just talking about those people who rev the shit out of their cars 24/7 and try and race everybody in town. Those are the people in my town who have fast cars. Not trying to show off but i probally have one of the nicer trans am in my city.

That is a common feeling LS1 drivers develop, the only cure is to start modding.

You want it fast again, on little cash, go rent a 4 cyl. automatic cobalt for a week, and your LS1 will be fast again.
