Check the hoses and clamps. With the engine off, clean off the engine and let it dry. Once dry, crank it up and let it run to see if the leaks persist from the hoses or anywhere in the engine.

I'm glad you found what seems to be the problem. Since you had the head gaskets replaced, as well as the thermostat, a low level from an external leak in the coolant system seems to be the next reasonable problem.

If you had no leaks, my next direction to point you would be to the cylinder heads themselves - and if they're warped/cracked.

Since it's still over heating I'd replace the stat again anyway. Cheap insurance. Nevermind I hadn't seen you found the problem.

maybe, this is just a guess, but there might be a clog in the the heater core. when the car gets to temp, does the heat come on? Again, this is a guess but a clogged core might do this.

so im going to pick it up in shortly and yes they acted like it was old and fragile and it was just a coinsidence that it happened 1 day after they fixed it my complaint was you took the intake off twice not once twice you didnt tell me it was "fragile" when you fixed it before

If the mechanic KNEW what he was doing, he WOULDN'T have BROKEN it and tried to pass it off as "fragile". I CAN'T STAND THAT SHYTE!!!

I kinda doubt it. It sounds to me like the problem was low level all along.......which caused the head gaskets to go in the first place.

I say this because the same problem happened again AFTER the head gaskets were changed.

    just sayin..........

And the million dollar question. What caused the low coolant level in the first place?

those hoses never go bad lol make sure if they used the worm clamps that they are infact tight like cammed said. I cant understand how you fuck up putting hoses on that particular car but humans can fuck up anything.

Well you can easily break plastic parts when you remove them, but that being said you dont just ship the car knowing that, knowing that a fucking hose is gonna be loose on account of it, specially when thats the very complaint the customer has. A cooling problem. Its bad business. I've never been a fan of the plastic intakes to be honest. The one on the lsx motors is a better design. The one on the 2 valve 4.6's is a pos.
