Anyone have pics of their Lakewood loops? Would it fit a car that still has the stock Y-pipe? Not to keen on "pounding the floor in" on our car.

i didnt have any problems with my instillation, and you should deffinetly be good with your stock Y.

That said, if you have a PST or Strange after market drive shaft and running a drag radial... I personally wouldn't worry about the safety loop. If you have a full slick, then its needed. But if you have the extra cash, it cant hurt.

I found this chart: http://www.nhra.com/competition/etquickref.aspx But it simply refers to Rule 2:4 which I can not seem to locate on-line. Guess I have to buy the Rule Book for the answer. I think there is something about slicks vs. street tires, so Hi-Po is probably right.

Lol, have had that happen on the Dyno too! Needless to say when I was kneeling beside the car with the laptop, I was a shit my pants occasion 'cos there was shit flying EVERYwhere but the 1-2 feet where my knees were .. ugh! Even seen one that unwrapped like a cardboard tube; one long twisted sheet ... lol

Absolutely!! I've seen the stock aluminum shafts twist on these cars with stock rear rubber. I was up at Norwalk and watched 2 stock 4th gens drop their aluminum shafts right on the starting line.
Anyone that knows Norwalk knows their track prep is awsome, you lose a shoe when you walk on it.
