Didn't mean to hi jack your thread.

I just bought my 16 yr old son a 2000 Z28. It is white with cloth interior. Those are great pictures to use as a goal. Thanks.

It really is. Especially where I am in So Cal where you're surrounded by dirt and not much greenery. The dust shows up something terrible on the t-tops, but the rest of the car hides it well

Now, the brake dust on my front wheels is a different story

i know they are cheap but that car, even if it is stock down to the air filter, has alot of power. do what you can to make him respect that car. there are too many things that can go wrong with the wrong mindset.

We have gone over it a hundred times already. He has a friend that was almost killed last year driving a 2001 Mustang Bullit. He was showing off for his Dad's friend and the car got away from him at a pretty high speed for the street he was on. I will just pray I didn't do the wrong thing.

Get a cheap hypertech tuner or something for it, limit the car to a lower speed. Been to 150 on a nearly stock one. Dont think a 16 year old needs to go anywhere near that speed.
