theres a reason parts are hard to find for the 350.

if you just want to cruise and sound good, then id just throw a cam in there and be satisfied. it wont ever run though.
Yeah I know, I'm not trying to run 10's just want to pep it up a bit. My circumstances dont allow a 455 right now so I have to use what I have. I don't know if the 350 is "ass" but it's all I have right now, and they do stock cams for the 350 as well. I just needed to know where to look thats all. I understand what you are saying though.

Very nice. The Apollo was a Nova with a nicer interior.
1973 was when car makers went whole hog into reducing emmisions by reducing the performance of the engine, mainly by lowering the compression ratio (and changing cams, I believe).
It sounds like the changes you are planning will wake up the engine to its potential, whatever that may be.
    Best of luck, and enjoy.

I didn't take any pics of the inside yet. Spent all day changing plugs, wires, cap, rotor, brakes, oil and cleaned out the carb. I feel much better driving it now that I know its safe.

Screw the 455. Just drop in a Caddy 500 and give it a 300 shot. I saw an article in some rag where some guy put one of these in a Mustang LX(bone stock from the junkyard), sprayed the hell out of it, and ran 10's.

I think I read the same thing. One of my co workers has one in his chevelle, he loves it!

Are the engine mounts in the same place as a chevy 350? A 455 would be nice but I'm a stroker motor guy so I'd much rather put a (chevy) 388 or larger small block in it. It should bolt right up right? Then I'll rebuild the lil buick 350 and throw it in my olds which has a L6 in it. Now thats recycling.
