What is that investment method where you get paid, I think, quarterly? Dividends?

When I think about it I look at it realistically and this is assuming you came about the million via the lottery or something like that. There would be a huge chunk of that shit gone right off the top. We'd be getting a new house and I'd have a zr1 and I'm sure my wife would want some type of new ride. I have 2 brothers that I would hook up, my wife has a brother and sister, and both her parents that I'm sure would all end up with some of it. You take all that off the top and you no longer have a million dollars to play with. You have a few hundred thousand.....and the wife and I couldn't both retire on a few hundred thousand. I'd need minimum $2 million but would prefer $3 million.

So is it 1 mil take home or does Uncle Sam still take his share?
Either way, Yes. No problem.

Yes. I'd take the mil and pay a hit man to kill my wife for $250k and then I would have $1,750,000 with the $1,000,000 life insurance policy I have on her. EZ enuff to live off of that. Get me one of those nomarriage.com immigrant wives I keep reading about

Hello NO, it cost big to live today;$200 at walmart for one weeks grocery's, $50 for gas, $200 for lights, stuff is way too high to live a normal life, people don't think about this either, it cost a lot to live.
I am almost 50 and the way my kids piss my $ away and the new F'ing administration is selling out this country we will ALL be working at walmart the rest of our lives till we drop, sorry to tell ya.

Take up Farming and gardening, you can dry seed to replant, animals reproduce, built your car ,or truck to run off biofuel and make it yourself. You can also buy a windmill and battery to supply electric to your house. There are a ton of ways to streatch the 1 mil a looooonnnngggg way.

If I invested all of it or put it in a savings account and just lived off the interest I could live just fine but I definitely wouldn't be balling. I would choose to live somewhere that the cost of living is low. I could live about the same lifestyle as now but just not work.
Now if I invested the money into a business where everyone is working for me then maybe I could do a little better but you never know if the business will be successful or not.
