2004 Z06 or 2005 Corvette LS2

Correct me if I am worng, but, didn't the C5Z come in notchback only? I only ask cuz I was at a car show in NY and there was, what looked like, a C5Z, silver, with mods and the rear fender vents were filled in. Looked like it had CCWs like Prestons.

YES the C5Z comes only in whats refered to as FRC (Fixed Roof Coupe) What you probably saw was a regular C5 FRC non Z06

OK. That was the first C5 FRC I have ever seen. Damn nice car.

imho...i love the c6 much more then the c5..and c5z06....i have been able to drive a 01 c5..a 07 c6 vert ..and a 06 c6 z06...the c6s are light years ahead on comfort...the ride and power delivery is unmatched in the c6s..the power hits smooth in the autos..and just continually pulls. nav screens and gorgeous interiors..better styling personally and then a ls2 has alot of potential in the N/A field ..BUT! the 05s are the only c6s that only have a 4 speed auto..the 06+ get that orgasm known as the 6l65e ...so imho ..look for a 06+ c6 in any model ...or if going m6..then go 05+ c6

ive had both c5z and c6z and i still think my c5z felt more raw. the c6z is obviously faster but the c5z just felt more aggressive. i still would rather have a c5z over just a c6 anyday, even the ls3 c6

i believe its due to the advancements in the suspension with the magnetic suspension thingy ...but i agree

The suspensions are the same. The only piece of hardware that was modified from the C5 to the C6 was the rear, upper control arm - and it was a minor change.

Shock valving will be different and it will be sportier in the Z.

i would argue that even tho it is the same on paper..they made improvements to the magnetic ride control that improved response for real time adjustments to road conditions.

True, but I drive a T/A and a Cobra so you know interior looks and suspension is not my focus really.

Hell the Cobra has some damn comfy seats but everything else is straight of my Ranger and the T/A has the same interior as my friends old Sunfire...
