Arctic White, red/gray- 1997 Corvette, 92 Typhoon
Maybe by .1 probably not even lol.
A trans am is 3530lbs and a formula firehawk is 3470lbs
I understand that if both cars had equal drivers that the formula firehawk would edge it out but its such a small amount it isnt even worth talking about. The fact that you would bring it up and then try to stand behind it telling everyone who laughs at you to try again means you are the king of bench racersLast edited by Zinergy; 06-03-2009 at 02:23 PM.

Navy Blue Metallic- `98 Formula M6 HdTp
The reality is In a drag race between similar cars the more powerfull car is not always the winner. Experience has it's merits.

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
ehh it will be close..but doesn't a stripper formy weight in at 3390 curb weight roughly ..and the regular formy comes in at 3410ish...then add the wheels and hood and you got a firehawk weight..while not too much to add....it has the better exhaust and the better lid..and while it might not account for much...it would defiantly close the gap on the weight to make it a very close power/weight ratio...with all things being equal ...but yea i forgot about the stripper formy

Keep in mind guys the only way to get a Stripper Formula is to order a 1LE and those cars come with the WS6 Pkg aswell.
All (LS1) Formula's come with PW PL PM(blue tint) and Monsoon CD the only thing a Trans Am has above this is Leather T-tops and keyless entry.

Have you ever put a f-body next to a fox body, the f-body is much longer and wider. noone ever claimed f-body were light, they just arent heavy and have an awesome powertrain.
fox body 179.6 inches, f-body 193.3-length
68.3-fox body, 74.4-f-body -width
Over a foot longer and 6 inches wider, with a hatch and more options makes up for the light weight engine.
If anything 3300lbs for a fox body is heavyLast edited by Zinergy; 06-05-2009 at 10:27 AM.

the engines themselves? ls1 is aluminum block and heads, lt1 is iron block and some had aluminium heads. Other then them both being 346ci engines all the parts are different. The ls1 i just the better more modern version of the lt1. Main thing i notice when racing the 2 engines is the ls1 breaths better through the powerband
