Me personally, i think its a step up. The 79s are cool but the ls1 cars do everything better and more effciently. Plus IMO the 98-02 body style was the best ever made.

yea just the way the economy is, i might have to sell it for less than its worth. i am about to post a new thread with pics of my 79 in it to see what you guys think its worth and what not.
and thats what i think!
bought the 79, spurr of the moment. didnt know what i was buying.

trans ams are great cars i love mine and wont ever sell it .if it has any mods and someone hasnt tuned it you will have alot of trouble with it throwing SES codes so just ask if they have tuned it if its not bone stock.great cars for the money and you wont be disappointed.

Just saw your '79 on link above. You should try to find a way to keep it, and get the WS6 too! Think about this, the '79 will keep its value right now, and may even appreciate, as long as it stays in good shape. Kinda why I'm holding on to my '68 LeMans ragtop, it's not in the best shape but there aren't too many survivors left.

Don't sell the other one. Not worth it. Keep it, restore it or do an LSX Swap. Way cooler than a 4 gen.

yea thats why it so hard for me cuz i know there arnt many 79s running around anymore. i can go up to my local shopping center and see at least 3 to 5 LT1 or LS1 T/As. i think it would bo cool do an LSX swap... but i kinda wanna keep it original, for better resale value.
