True in this exact case. I would rather the scumbags that tortured these dogs die instead of the dogs themselves.

If you won't win, what reason do you have to sign him? Publicity, the kind you get by having Peta protest every game?
Guys, its not just PETA, the ASPCA participated in his prosecution, and they have hell of more resources and people behind them than PETA.

They have commercials on TV all the time with Sarah McLachlan.

If that was the case, Oakland and Dallas would have been eliminated YEARS ago.

Face it, Vick is talented, and that will be what the NFL sees. Somebody will pick him up, and if he plays nicey-nice for a while, people will warm back up to him. It's not right, but that's the way it is.

hes gonna be back guys. He commited a crime but lets not forget how talented he is. The NFL teams are about money, he will make them money by what he does ON the field.

Sports teams don't care about that. They just want to make money. That means people in the seats and merchandising. How many athletes were forced out of sports because of there stupid desicions?

You are probably correct. His aspirations of $10M annually won't happen though. At least not right away. No one is gonna gamble that much on him. He has been out of the league for 2 years now. He will have to work his way back up to that kind of stature.

You guys crack me up. I'm always amazed to see people pass judgement as if their Jesus. Here is the deal. He did something dumb that he used to be culturally and socially exposed to. He should have known better. Now, to give him jail time and take all monies earned, past and present, is just plain hating. Streetracing is illegal; however, most of us have done it. If someone gets hurt, should you lose everything that you own past, present and future? I'm just saying, don't judge until you've been in a man's shoes.

In a March 4 court filing, Vick’s attorneys say he “has every reason to believe upon his release, he will be reinstated into the NFL, resume his career and be able to earn a substantial living.”

“He is hopeful to play quarterback,” Daniel Meachum, an attorney and business manager for Vick, said in an interview. “There is no person with his talent in that position in all the league.”

I'll say it again. playing in the NFL is a PRIVELAGE, not a right. He fucked up his privelage to play in the NFL. With the NFL trying to clean up its image, allowing him back in the NFL would kinda be a step back. Why should I feel bad for a guy/nor not pass judgement on a fucking idiot who had the all the money in the world and a dream life and shit it all away by killing dogs?

he will be back......just like any professional or collegiate sport money drives the NFL not competition or high morals. I can almost hear the press conference now " Mike Vick has paid his dues to society for the mistakes in his past....blah blah blah". Doesn't matter what's right or wrong...what matters is if he's still marketable and he is. He'll do some PR repair with some community service announcements and some 15 second ads showing him helping out at an animal rescue shelter. Badda-Bing Badda-Bang.....instant millionaire again.

unfortunately that privelage is not correct at all. the nfl is still doing what they can to get money in their pockets like everyone else. there have been throughout the ages a slew of different types of trouble makers from locker room, which is the more recent fad, to plain and simple off the field problems. if it was a privelage why is pacman still playing? why was the white house allowed in dallas? im sure many people can add to the, why was "insert name here" still playing, question.

Do you follow the NFL anymore? Roger Goodell ring a bell? Hard-ass commisioner who comes down hard on trouble makers and is determined to clean up the league. Pacman Jones, playing in the NFL? Last I heard, he was released and currently w/out a team. Unless u have some new info. Not that I don't think he's a POS, but Pacman, nor anyother current NFL player, has been sent to prison. No way Goodell will be reinstating Vick right away upon his release.
