Not even close, throw a set of slicks on there and it will easily out handle any fbody stock for stock. Do I like fwd for racing? No, but it's not useless by anymeans. My point was that your going to be seeing things like that more and more. Hell take the new 370Z it's v6 has what like 330hp. Smaller motors are coming.

you get me a stock LS1 fbody and put any stock cobalt SS against me with any driver you can pick and I will show that little thing tail lights!
I ran 12.98@106 with an 01 trans am stock. I didnt even own the car which means I wasn't that used to driving the car. Just an FYI....

Do you even understand what previously was being said? Helps if you read the entire conversation before giving your .02 I said smaller motors are heading our way. You won't be seeing 6 and 7, and hell even 8 liter motors in cars. Your going to be seeing boosted 4 cyl and v6's was what I was getting at. I used the cobalt ss as an example. Don't quite know how you ran a 12.98 @ 106. Your speed should have been 107-109. You must be one hell over a driver. Only thought a hand full of people have ever dipped into the 12's with A STOCk ls especially since you never have driven it. Not calling complete bs, but deffinitly not buying it either.

lol. I did get what you are saying. you said cobalt ss will outhandle any fbody stock for stock and i posted a time I ran.
you may not buy it which is cool. I am not trying to look cool on the internet, i have proven everything at track in front of many others and have a lot of videos.
06 GT stock, 13.4 on a hot day without being used to the car. today my skills are at least 50% better than when I ran 13.4 in 06. the car is an easy 13.2 or quicker car and everyone underestimates them.
01 trans am stock 12.98 not my car, just drew it a few times however I did own a 97 LT1 so I wasn't totally unfamiliar with the car.
03 cobra stock, 12.70 spinning all the way through the middle of 3rd gear and had to let go twice because of wheelhop.
03 cobra, just pulley mod + exhaust (about 1200 spent). 11.3, could do better than that but sold it a couple weeks after that run.
you may not buy any of that above but thank god, I have got videos / slips / witnesses...

Our Z28 was far and away the fleetest of these fair-weather specialists, hitting 60 mph in a brisk 5.2 seconds and 100 mph in 12.3, and covering the quarter mile in 13.8 seconds at 104 mph. Top speed was 158 mph
8 years later Ford is still tryin to figure it out with 30 k
