black 01 red 73- 01 z28 and 73 z28
those two tool bags know nothing more about the American auto industry than you or me(and probably less, a lot less). the one guy was probably not even born in the 70s. and for that matter 70s was the end of it all anyway. john Davis of motor weekly is the only authority there and he speaks for 20 seconds

I like how at the end of the interview, and they were talking about their 'favorite cars' - the guy on the left said, he'd go with a "64 Shelby Cobra" - idiot.

I wish GM did this:
don't kill pontiac but make it niche (just like they said)
let them make just 3 models
big - GTO (based on holden)
medium - Trans Am (based on new camaro, resembling the '78)
small - V8 Solstice
just one engine option for each of them
and keep them around

yea, it's all his fault
DING!DING!DING! we have a winner. The jacked up thing is that I was saying this for a long damn time.well that one fella there was dead on. detroit got involved way too deep in the truck segment and then when the bottom started falling out of it they thought they could save it by putting more trucks out there instead of more cars and less trucks. they could...and they refused to adapt. it's their own fault that they are screwed.

i don't know what to tell ya. We as american citizens are reactive instead of being proactive. Things happen and we let a little more of are freedom is taken away. Many of us wont be completely outraged until the EPA man comes around to claim our cars deeming them unfit to drive. there is not much transparency in our government and big corporations, but with all the things going on its starting to become public knowledge. i know a lot of you disagree, but if tree hugging mary gets her way then the automotive hobby will struggle, or seize to exist. The people that are making these decisions have absolutely no understanding of what the automotive hobby is all about, nor do they care. Look at the CAFE regulations on the table for loaning GM and Chrysler money. Motor Trend stated and i will find the article if anyone wants that if the CAFE regulations changed then GM would have no other choice that to make a 6 cylinder base Corvette.

this is the almost the same thing that happened in the late 60's, give it another forty years.
Right now all the baddest cars are starting to come out, 08-09 just like 68-69.......history repeating itself

Very True, and the same thing that is squashing the muscle car, or pony car for that matter squashed the muscle cars and pony cars of the 60's and early 70's, the government, insurance, and energy speculation.
Honestly, i try to understand the market. Look at the honda accord, and the Toyota Camry, a vast segment of the market share. Do they create excitement??? are they fun to drive??? do they make you feel younger behind the wheel??? are they exotic?? I don't know but I know. All i do know is i have a shitty truck that i cannot kill no matter how hard i try to get me from point A to B, and i have a trans am that i take to car shows and cruise nights.
