I must say that I love my black car, but at the same time I guarantee my next car will not be black b/c of the dust where I live...instead of a fresh coat of dew every morning I get a fresh coat of dust

I sold my last car just because it was black and cat prints, dust, minor scratches were very noticable and just too much work. Black is my favorite, but I went for Silver on my 02 Z28 and can't be happier. I only need to wash it once a month in the summer with little touch ups between the time, it doesn't show swirls and minor scratches. The time saved alone is well worth it.

My 79 Formula is black. Back when I was 19 and on the prowl for women I would spend hours washing, waxing, buffing, etc. By the time I pulled up to the girl's house it would have a thin layer of dust on it already. Sure looked sweet, though. Now it's disassembled in my garage as part of a complete resto but I will keep it black.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

my 2 cents: the black on these cars looks faded and dull at all times. don't get it. sorry to dis on the other 23 pro-black posts, but i just think it looks horrid. Anything with a metallic flake in the coat will look 2000x better. if gm made these cars in black metallic, you bet your ass i'd own one. but i hate how faded it gets, same with the white and red.
