how deep in your ass did you reach to pull that "trillions" number out? are you fucking kidding me, you obviously know nothing about our deficit nor the stimulus the Bush admin. passed. yes in total it was close to 1 trillion. The same can be expected with the obama stimulus that, may I add, has more spending than Bush's. And no his stimulus did not go to the fucking top 5% "like CEO's". I got a check, I am sure you did as well. There was tax relief all across the spectrum of incomes. But he also taxed the debt as well. This is because he knew that it will have to be paid back. So his initial relief was only $650 billion, but if you add in the takes it was right around $925 billion just shy of ur "trillions." And if you are trying to say trillions plural due to the spending on the war then go live in Canada. War takes a toll, not just economically, but also in lives lost. That's how our country remains free, has always been this we since we declared our independence. And on that note "the new President is trying to get us out of a deep deep hole" is full of shit, and you have not read the pointless spending in this stimulus. I am not a Math major, but it doesn't take a genius to realize that adding another trillion to the half trillion deficit will only hinder our economy.

You must have been asleep for last eight years, Bush put us in a hole, not counting the WAR, that it will take many years to get out of. Bush has done NOTHING for the United States, except for the chosen few. I know you will not agree to the last statement so please list all he has done. Skip 9-11 because anyone in charge at that time would protect the country. Plus dont forget the tax cut for anyone who made over $250,000 a year.

This package isnt gonna help anything.....its insanity that this is even passed....Say good bye free market.....hello socialism....this is rediculous....Everything that is happening is rediculous....people that are making mistakes and not able to pay for their houses are benifitting while the people playing by the rules are getting the shaft.....This is making the forclosure market suck right now on top of the housing market....
It can be beneficial but not the way their doing it.....allot of this bill is going towards this "Green" religion that they have started.....Which as a matter of fact has been disproven that humans have such an enormous effect on the atmosphere as being preached.....
When it comes down to it.....they are spending 800 some odd billion dollars and the number of jobs that they are expecting out of it I cant remember exactly but when u put cost per job it ends up being 200k a job!
200k!!! Thats rediculous.....

Ok....i wanna hear this.....how has Bush got us in a hole? I WANNA HEAR THIS....everyone says this....but no one can explain why....
Let me guess....because he had to do with reforming welfare? Ohhh I guess that really hurt us huh?
Oh and more tax cuts for the higher end? Yea that really hurt us too.....Really sucks that they have this extra money that they can use to build more and hire more......that must really be hurting us
Im not saying that hes Reagan or nothing.....But I dont see where everone in the North thinks he messed up so bad to get us in a whole....
IF u look at it....The market votes everyday....Have u seen how much the market reacted on the nominating of Obama? VERY BADLY.....How bout him getting enaugerated? VERY BADLY.......this stimulous? EVEN MORE

no im not acting like it's Barry's shit. But it is his bill. the government buildings probably do not need any type of remodeling, at least not for awhile. They are fucking government building for christ sakes, not section 8 housing. and ur gonna bitch about 120mil in tax cuts, yet your liberal ass looks the other way when a billion is being pissed away

well i don't have much to stand on b/c i just started following politics.
but this is what i have read and what i think.
the housing market crash started with clinton. from what I understand the amount you could borrow on a house was 80% then he raised it to 84 then 90 then finally 125% People used the extra money bought shit they didn't need bought a house the couldn't afford on an arm loan it cought up to them. They couldn't afford to pay there bills defualted, foreclosed etc...... Now the banks are realizing this and tightned up on the lending. So I would say bush was not at fault on that one
I don't know anything about the bush stimulus package.
But the Obama package from what I have read is insane with the saving the rat, building the bridge bailing out the mortgage companies who issued bad loans. etc... Do i believe the economy needed help YES but I think it could have been better. A 1100 page bill come on who really read the damn thing.
My biggest issue is the people who get government aide who I THINK don't deserve it (unemployeement for a long time) I work 2 jobs plus do side work. I have no further education than high school and I am surviving. Yeah its tough but I don't buy shit i can't afford. Take my car. I have owned it for over a year and only have a slp cai and a lm2. I have headers in a box with plugs and wires but didn't spend the money on a ory b/c I have bills.
