Don't exactly remember the graph, but it was pretty much better over all.

I have a 01 WS6 with a k&n cold air, 160 thermo, billet maf, flowmaster exhaust, & cutout. looking to get a great pair of headers so you'all say 1 7/78 is more power than 1 3/4?

to answer you question youre gonna need the headers, cats (depending on your preference/state emission laws), y-pipe. and to get rid of the check engine light some sort of tune, either handheld, dyno, or mail order tune.
and something else to think about would be some new header bolts (stage 8 maybe, about $40), band clamps, and might wanna do a tune up while you got the manifolds off.
kinda adds up by the end. its not gonna be just the $400 for the headers. might wanna look into all this before you pull the trigger.

This is correct. I've seen this done before, TSP wasn't the first. I saw this a couple years ago, I think it was Chevy High Performance mag that did a back to back comparison. 1 7/8 headers outperform the 1 3/4 headers even on a stock LS1.
The entire curve was slightly better. The difference on a heavily modded LS motor would show even more.

the texas speed headers are nice i just put a set on my ta. only thing i had to do is get the y bumped out some to fit over the headers. and it comes with band clamps.

The Supermaxx headers are made by Dynatech. They were featured in the November 2008 issue of GM High-Tech Performance. They made 25HP and 21 ftlb of TQ with high flow cats. Pretty neat looking setup. The magazine ranked them pretty high.

Pacesetter headers (off-Road) with an off-road Y-pipe kit is the way i'm thinking about going. Opinions anyone?
