Hmm, I think i can find someone who will look over the fact that my parts dont have carb stamps, but im not sure about the emissions test. Does this change anyones advise?

Yeah -- I went a bit on the high side with that one.....I wanted to use very conservative numbers just to prove the point that you could easily get to 420 rwhp for less than $9,500. I ended up at $7,400 -- if you're patient on finding deals for the parts and don't mind getting your hands dirty for the installation, you could still cut that down by a few grand.

Its been awhile since I moved out of CA, but if you live in the actual city limits of those forementioned PD's you shoulnt worry about them. and my time there I've rarely seen CHP's pull people over in the city, they roam the highways.

CHP is pretty frequent because I live of Artesia & Vermont, which is an entrance for 3 major freeways (105, 110, 91). And the connecting cities are that close togather....it really sucks

the key to passing smog is the tune. if u out higher better heads on the car its going to make the fule brun better . the only thing that realy can mess up with u passing smog is the headers if u do a cold start u will fail 9 times outta 10 thats why the ls1 comes with so bad of exhuast manifolds is so it can pass with a cold start

point to the story is 9k is way to much. i would get the parts u want and then have some one put it all on

It for N/A 420 rwhp, the shop i contacted was Superior Automotive in Anaheim CA. I keep seeing their commercerials while watchin PINKS so I figured I'd give them a call. I figured they would be expensive but i dont know good shops in Socal. When you say "a lil much" how over priced are you talking about? like 3000 or like 1000, ball park figure?

I've contacted Superior Automotive. I've heard they do "okay" work, but they are way on the $$$ side. Same with West Coast Corvette. If you're looking for a good shop give Danny @ OC GM performance 714-828-OCGM. He did an awesome job tuning my car. Planning doing cam and heads soon. He does great work and is very fair on pricing.
