yea, where I stay you've got 7 diffrenent law enforcement agencies in a 10 mi radius:
LAPD
LA COUNTY Sheriff
Gardena PD
Hawthorne PD
Torrance PD
Highway Patrol
Lawndale PD
and now they all got 5.7l Hemi Charger R/T's in the fleets

Hmm, I think i can find someone who will look over the fact that my parts dont have carb stamps, but im not sure about the emissions test. Does this change anyones advise?

Yeah -- I went a bit on the high side with that one.....I wanted to use very conservative numbers just to prove the point that you could easily get to 420 rwhp for less than $9,500. I ended up at $7,400 -- if you're patient on finding deals for the parts and don't mind getting your hands dirty for the installation, you could still cut that down by a few grand.

the key to passing smog is the tune. if u out higher better heads on the car its going to make the fule brun better . the only thing that realy can mess up with u passing smog is the headers if u do a cold start u will fail 9 times outta 10 thats why the ls1 comes with so bad of exhuast manifolds is so it can pass with a cold start
point to the story is 9k is way to much. i would get the parts u want and then have some one put it all on

I've contacted Superior Automotive. I've heard they do "okay" work, but they are way on the $$$ side. Same with West Coast Corvette. If you're looking for a good shop give Danny @ OC GM performance 714-828-OCGM. He did an awesome job tuning my car. Planning doing cam and heads soon. He does great work and is very fair on pricing.
