Another one that's gonna get someone stabbed with a screwdriver or icepick. When I'm in the store with my 2 year old daughter and she waves and says "HI" at least be nice enough to say hi back. I don't expect you to stop and play patty cake with her but don't just ignore her. Happened 2 different times at the hardware store earlier. She said "daddy, they didn't say hi" and I said "That's because they're stupid."

I hate when little kids say Hi to me in stores, especially if their parents are looking at something and they are just kind of staring off. I feel like a pedo starting a dialogue with a 2 year old. I always say Hi back cause I am nice, but I had one last week, say, "What's your name" afterwards. WTF! Then you get the ones that after you say "Hi" back will keep saying Hi just for attention.

the ONLY reason you should feel like a pedophile is if you are. Realize they're kids. My daughter is very outgoing and talks to everyone ( not always a good trait but she's innocent and doesn't know any better). Say hi and keep walking, if they say hi again say it back. Pretty simple. They're kids and don't know any better. They've probably been ignored by 10 other assholes in the store and are shocked that you actually said something back. It's either that or I stick a phillips screwdriver in your forehead.
