No, it wasn't a wide body like the Dick Harrell cars. This was one of the 69 GMMG ZL1s built to commemorate the 69 ZL1s from 1969. Before I got close to it I thought it was an SS with a center stripe and hockey stripes.
Yeah, I can't imagine paying $90K on a Camaro. That's why I was surprised to see the guy driving it. More power to him for actually getting it out and showing it off. Sure would be more fun to drive it than sit it in the garage and stare at it.

It was dark blue with white stripes, had the Cragar wheels, and on the stripe on the trunk was marked "In memory of Fred Gibbs and (something) Jenkins..." On the stripe on the scoop it said 600 hp. This one obviously was a 6 speed 'cause I could hear him shift, plus I don't think Helen Gibbs lives in Texas.
He also had a cage in it.

there was a feature article in super chevy or camaro performers about a year ago that had a guy who recently built his own version of that car after his was wrecked or someting like that but that one was blue and had a cage also had fiske wheels .

Technically a ZL-1 because that's what GM called it. If you go to Yenko.net a ZL-1 is one of 69 1969 427 alum. block Camaros. At LS1tech everybody knows what a GMMG ZL-1 is.

Yeah, GM has that 527 exhibition car, thats the most common result if you search "camaro ZL1" theres also that yellow one built off the track car model of a C5427, but its modded more than the GMMG ZL1's
