Just went and test drove this vette. They only offered me $10.5k for my 41k mile unmodified (except for catback) WS6 M6.
They're asking $28,950 for the vette. Only mods are Cray 17x9/18x10.5 wheels (which im not a huge fan of but can deal with).
HEre are the numbers:
2002 Z06 15k miles: Asking Price $28,950
NADA Trade In $26,200
NADA Retail $29,575
Kelly Blue Book: Suggested Retail $30,480
Kelly Blue Book: Trade in $23,675
Kelly Blue Book: Bought from Private party: $27,250
2000 WS6 41k miles: Dealer offered me $10,500
NADA Low $10,850,
NADA Mid $13,650,
NADA High $18,700
Kelly Blue Book: Suggested Retail $14,730
Kelly Blue Book: Trade In$10,125
Im guessing they paid about $24,000 for the Z06 so they have about $5000 to play with and they'll probably make about $3000 off my car so that would be about $8000 profit for them if everything is at their offered price. Im thinking I have them give me at least $12-13k for my car. What do you guys think? Vette values are new to me so Im trying to do as much research as possible. Also I have to think about the fact that there will probably be snow on the ground in two months and this thing will be parked in the garage all winter.

btw there is probably a good chance someone from the dealership is reading this. This internet place is such a small world. lol

Dude what the fuck kinda drugs was the owner of that car on when they picked those butt ugly wheels?
Negotiate with them man, you live in freakin alaska for christ sake lol They want top dollar for that car and appear to be low balling you. I think you got leverage with fall coming in a cold climate like where you live.

don't trade in
I kept my 02 Z/28.
One dealer offered 3500 for it ! nice profit for them. I found the C5 for 23k
That Z06 seems 1k too much from what I've researched and I did a lot.
If they give you 10 k that is great.
TRADE IN = ASS RAPE
Drive both or get them to drop it down 1k04 C5 A4 Torch Red - sold

Pewter- 2001 Camaro Z28 M6
AFORDABLE USED CARS is the name of the dealer??????
I would never buy from a used car dealer....
reason why:
-used car dealers buy the left over crap that officials OEM dealers dont want.
-used car dealers buy cars from auctions and wholesalers
-used car dealers buy and sell used/abused cars
-poor mechanics that can not certify or look over the car
-deal with poor / 2nd tier finance companies.
in this situation more then likely the used car dealer bought the vette for $10-$15 from a OEM dealer or wholesaler. The car was beat to piss and the OEM dealer didnt want it.
98% that is fact
2% are lucky and find a gem
Those are odds you dont play.
then again your in alaska so the story might be differentLast edited by ibanez7; 08-19-2008 at 07:38 AM.
